Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge offers an unforgettable African bush experience. Zululand accommodation in the heart of Zululand. Meet up with zebra, warthog, giraffe, nyala, wildebeest, and impala. Designed to blend seamlessly into the Zululand environment and surrounded by 300 acres of bush and game area. Explore the national Hluhluwe game reserve parks – Umfolozi, Hluhluwe, Mkuze, Ndumo, Sodwana Bay and the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Enjoy Zululand Accommodation in our air-conditioned wooden chalets which are built on stilts and then connected by raised wooden walkways leading to the main dining room, bar, swimming pool, and boma. All rooms have private bathrooms with showers, fans, telephones, air conditioners and tea and coffee making facilities. Self-catering units are also available and include braai facilities. Sip on your favorite drink while you watch the sun go down on our viewing deck watching game gather at our new waterhole. Birds are abundant here and if you are an avid birder you will definitely be able to tick off some of the rare ones. The boma provides the perfect meeting place for guests to enjoy drinks around the fire before dinner or to simply unwind at the end of a wonderful day. The resident chef specializes in mouth-watering venison and game dishes. Meals can be enjoyed in the main dining room or, weather permitting, under the African stars in the boma or on the swimming pool deck… Gooderson Bushlands Game Lodge also offers three-hour game drives twice a day in our Open Vehicles and we can also offer full-day drives with a packed picnic lunch on request. You can also join our experienced Rangers on a guided Nyala trail on the property. Our traditional village Gooderson DumaZulu Cultural Village is a mere five minutes’ drive from Bushlands, where you can explore the traditional culture of South Africans as well as enjoy a delicious cultural lunch or enjoy a walk through KZN’s largest bird and reptile walk through the park.
